A late winter coastal walk along the promenade from Shoeburyness to Leigh-on-Sea via Southend. There is unlikely to be any mud, so come and join us for a relatively level walk, enjoying sea air and hopefully sunshine, with the option of a pub lunch. Leigh-on-Sea is a great place to explore whilst enjoying a coffee or ice cream at the end of a walk.
Please bring snacks as there is no official lunch stop until we reach Leigh-on-Sea. I have a booking for 10 people at The Peterboat.

There is an option to walk along Southend Pier for those who would like to add extra miles to this walk and/or to end the walk at Southend.
Travel Details:
Take the 09.35 train from Fenchurch Street, arriving in Shoeburyness at 10.50.
There are several trains each hour returning to London including .23,.30,.53 and 00 past the hour from Leigh-on-Sea.
You can buy either a return ticket to Shoeburyness or single journeys dependent upon your finishing point on the walk.
No booking is required.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
