Come and join us for a leisurely walk in a lovely rural area. We start at Lanark bus station and from there a short stroll to Lanark Loch Park before skirting the scenic Lanark Loch. From there we amble up a short incline and enter a path to thread through an ancient wood. On leaving the wood we return along a grassy area adjacent to the former Lanark racecourse to emerge at the park where there are toilet facilities and refreshments.
Public Transport: No 41 bus from Hamilton v Motherwell v Wishaw to Lanark, arriving at 10:25 am.
Meet at Lanark bus station at 10:30 am, start walk at 10: 45 am.
The walking area is generally flat. There are slight inclines up and down from loch edge. Care must be taken to avoid roots on pathway through wood.
Would suggest stout footwear and walking poles.
