Overview

We will set off from Shotley Church walking along quiet roads, footpaths and tracks. Firstly towards Shotley village, then heading on for views over to the River Stour. We continue on to Erwarton Hall, then head back towards Shotley Church. As we reach Shotley Hall we will make our way to Wades Lane and on to the River Orwell. On joining the river wall we will head towards Shotley Point, after a while we will take a footpath inland & make our way back to the Church.

I hope to reach Shotley Vineyard, which is near to the Church, by 1pm so that if anyone wishes to stop have a drink and cake, they may. They close at 2pm.

Please note: The route may be muddy in places so please wear appropriate footwear.

After the walk, you may wish to look around the Church, including searching for their mouse, and also there are the lovely views over to Felixstowe.
