Overview

A walk from Melford Country Park, commencing along the Valley Walk, passing Brundon Wood with elevated views of Sudbury, admiring Gainsborough's Statue and passing his House, through meadows by the Stour, with Swans at Brundon Mill before rejoining the Valley Walk to return to the car park.

Toilets are available at Melford Country Park and at Waitrose in Sudbury. There should be an ice cream van selling teas and coffees if you wish to refresh at the start of the walk.  It moves on at 12.00 so won't be there at the end. On the recce the water meadows were unusually dry.
