A delightful scenic walk on the north-western fringes of Cannock Chase featuring landscaped parkland, waterside meadows and open heathland, as well as the finest remaining area of traditional oakwood in the Chase. There's historic interest, too, as you pass Shugborough Hall, cross an ancient packhorse bridge and traverse part of a disused railway built during the First World War.
Good paths and tracks, including woodland and canal towpath. Ascent is made in three climbs spread within the walk.
