Overview

Our 8.44 mile route will commence adjacent to Trentabank Reservoir.  We will take a steady climb to Shutlingsloe (506m) and admire the views before descending towards Clough House.  A combination of lanes and fields will lead us to Forest Chapel where rush-bearing still takes place each August. From Forest Chapel we will follow the bridlepath for a short distance before re entering Macclesfield Forest. After some undulation through the forest, Teggs Nose will come into view. We will walk alongside Teggsnose, Bottoms, and Ridgegate Reservoir before returning to our starting point.

Toilet facilities: Trentabank Car Park.

Car Park: Road side marked bays or Trentabank Car Park (pay & display).

Walking poles if desired.
