Guided Ramblers walk in the beautiful countryside around the market town of Skipton in North Yorkshire. The cost of £15.00 includes return travel from Central Manchester and a choice of 3 led walks of different lengths. You must book and pay for your ticket in advance but you can decide how far you want to walk when you get on the coach.
The coach leaves Chorlton Street at 8.50 am, picking up in Sedgeley Park at 09.15 and Prestwich at 09.20 (NB - No toilet stop en route)
WALK DETAILS
Long Walk (Strenuous - led by Simon - 12 miles) Linear walk from Old Stone Trough pub on A56 (GR SD898441), Moor Hall, Gaylands Lane, Pinhaw Beacon (1280 ft), Gawthorpe House, Carleton-in-Craven, Leeds-Liverpool Canal, Skipton. Total ascent 1430 ft.
Medium Walk (Moderate - led by Brian - 10 miles) Circular walk: Woolly Sheep pub, Carleton-in-Craven, Carleton Biggin, Ramshaw, Peat Gill Head, Cononley, River Aire, Skipton. 1000 ft ascent
Short Walk (Easy - led by Geoff - 6.5 miles) Circular walk: Skipton Castle Woods, back into Skipton then along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath to Low Snaygill, returning into Skipton passing Skipton Parish Church.
The coach will leave Skipton at 5.30 p.m. returning via Prestwich and Sedgely Park, and estimated to be back at Chorlton Street around 7.30 p.m.
