You are welcome to join me on a good walk along the ridge of the Stiperstones, a prominent Shropshire landmark and place of historical interest. There are some old miner's cottages pretty early on with interactive history boards for a voice from the past, describing what life was like for those who lived there. Prepare for a short story about how the "Devil's Chair" got its name!
Please book on the walk by contacting the leader by text on the mobile number provided.
There are some gradients, some longer than others but nothing too strenuous. Total ascent is 500m. The terrain is a mix of road, path and stone so boots are a must, and care must be taken in sections. The top is very exposed and the sides aren't much better so please come prepared with waterproof clothing and extra warms for when we stop for lunch. I expect the walk to be no more than 5 hours with breaks, but that is a guide.
Dogs are welcome but on a lead as sections of the walk usually have cattle and the heather is home to ground birds.
Please be aware that I'll be keeping an eye on the weather, and if the forecast doesn't look good the walk will be cancelled.
