We are the Southwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a leisurely 7.5 mile walk. We walk up through the centre of the Forest, past many ancient oak trees, returning down the more open Western edge. The walk then crosses open country and then follows the River Maun to the point where the final section traverses sections of Edwinstowe.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as "booking a place".
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk, please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be refreshment stops and a lunch-time break, so bring some food and drink.
