St Catherine's Valley and Solsbury Hill

We will park on and start walking from Swainswick Lane (parking on the A46 Southbound slip road for Swainswick.  We will make our way to Charmy Down Airfield then descend to St Catherine's Valley , before making our way through some villages en route to Solsbury Hill with its extensive views over Bath. It is a short walk from here to the cars. This is a hilly walk, with varied terrain, through some pretty countryside with lovely views..Conditions should be good underfoot, walking mainly on footpaths and bridle ways with some lane walking. There will be several stiles.
