A quite hilly walk with good variety and some superb views.
From Stanton we initially follow the Cotswold Way, going through parkland to reach Stanway. Going round Stanway House we then have a short bit of road before making a fairly steep climb, up through woodland, to reach the top of the escarpment. From here we have a long stretch of nearly flat walking, with glorious views all round, before making a final, quite steep descent back into Stanton.
see the website link for a map of the route
One quite steep climb and descent. Nearly all on good paths and broad tracks. Descent is a little rocky in places. Not many stiles. Likely to meet sheep and just possibly some cattle. Path between Stanton and Stanway can be muddy in places. Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.
