Please note that the southbound carriageway of the A3 will be closed between the Petersfield junction with the A272 and the Hazelton Interchange with B2149 at junction 2 of the A3(M) at junction 2.

This means that although you will be able to get to the start of the walk OK by using the A3, you will not be able to return by that route. An alternative return route is via East Meon, Clanfield and Catherington.

Of course, other minor side roads may also be busy as people look for alternatives. Allow extra time to reach the start, as the A272 will almost certainly be very busy.
