THIS WALK HAS BEEN DRASTICALLY SHORTENED IN VIEW OF THE WEATHER WARNINGS FOR STRONG WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN ISSUED BY THE MET OFFICE
Starting off from the Victoria Inn at West Marden, the walk goes towards Bottom Copse and Drift Road Plantation, heading to Compton Down, with the Jubilee Clump on the RH side. The route then descends into Compton, where there is a cafe and a church (coffee break). The walk then heads north to Bevis's Thumb and then south to Telegraph Hill, and back down to West Marden, where lunch-time refreshments can be obtained at the Victoria Inn if required.
Mud is obviously a predominant feature, but the paths are walkable.
