This walk is weather dependent! We are going to take a circular route which encompasses two mountains which actually look like our childhood image of a mountain i.e. a peak with the ground falling away on all sides. Yep Sugar Loaf is one and Crug Mawr is the other. This is a 12 mile walk with 3200ft of ascent, but well worth it! wonderful scenery in valleys and from the mountain tops. We will even call in at Paltrishow church to view one of finest carved rood screens in the land. When we stand on Crug Mawr we can see Waun Fach to the North and Sugar Loaf to the South. Don't be put off by the 3000ft you will still be on a 'high' when we sit in the pub at the end of this walk. By the way the terrain under foot is generally easy. There is no rock climbing, a few stiles and well maintained paths. Please bring your lunch.
