We are the Taunton Deane Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The coach will drop us off in Swanage at the main beach car park (with loos). From there we walk to the sea front where we pick up the south west coast path to Peveril Point. We continue on the coast path to Durlston Country Park through woods and along a cliff to see a castle, a globe and lighthouse! From there we climb up Round Down then head inland on grass tracks, paths and lanes back into Swanage to our cafe stop for cake and tea/coffee. Please notify Joy of any dietary needs (gluten free etc). From there it is a short walk back to the car park. Leaving at 5.30 pm.
The walk is 5.3 miles undulating with some climbs and great views but we will have plenty of time to take it steady. We will also stop for a picnic lunch in the Country Park.
Please bring your own picnic lunch and drinks but there is also a cafe at the Durlston Visitor Centre for any additional drinks needed or ice creams!
Park and meet at Taunton Gateway Park & Ride. The Coach will leave at 09.30.
The walk will start from the Main Beach Car Park at around 11.30 am
