Please note this is a Figure of Eight with walks starting at 12.15pm and 2pm
The walk starting at 12.15 pm is the Swans Neck Circular Walk (2.25 miles) returning for a lunch break at the start point, but passes a cafe and farm shop on the way with hot pasties available.
After the lunch break, at 2 pm we shall walk to the Canal Visitor Centre, following the disused Railway Line Walk, and return beside the Grand Western Canal. (5.75 miles)
Our mid afternoon break is at the Canal Centre, where there will be the opportunity to look at the history of the area and purchase refreshments.
This is a level walk, without stiles. The total distance for both walks is 8 miles but there are options to do either the before or after lunch walks.
There are picnic tables at the meet point and for the mid afternoon stop (around 20 mins) there is a cafe and a visitor centre with old lime kilns and heavy horses - so lots of interest and food options!
Park and meet at Tiverton Bridge Car Park, Post Hill, Tiverton. The postcode for the Tiverton Bridge car park is EX16 7FG and not the one generated by the walks manager system!
