Starting at Tilford, this walk will take us to Frensham Great Pond where we will stop off for refreshments (either bring your own or buy from the cafe) and a toilet break. We will then return via Frensham Little Pond and finish off with a walk along the River Wey before getting back to Tilford. The walk will consist of woodland at the start and end of the walk and open heathland during the middle of the walk. Part of the walk will be along the beach on Frensham Great Pond and some bridleways and so will be sandy in places.
There is also the option at the end of the walk, depending on space and availability, to have lunch at the Barley Mow at Tilford or the cafe next door.
NOTE - Part of the walk involves crossing a ford via a footbridge. This area has experienced further flooding and planks have been put across this additional stretch of water to enable people to "walk" across - see pictures. I do not want us to "walk the plank" and so the walk will divert away where we will cross a very narrow stream with the aid of a small bridge further up. Therefore, boots and poles are recommended for this walk.
There are not any stiles.
