This walk will provide three different perspectives of the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Starting in the city centre, we will head to Calton Hill and take in the views of sea and city. From there, we will continue on to the iconic Arthur's Seat. Finally, we will walk to the Hermitage woodland and ascend Blackford Hill. We will end by heading back through the Meadows to the city centre. There is an option to for cafe/pub social afterward for those who are interested.
Getting there
By car: The starting point of this walk is in Edinburgh City Centre, roughly 70 minutes from Glasgow City Centre.
Public transport: Train or bus to Edinburgh Waverley. I will be taking the 9am train from Glasgow Queen Street station.
Walkers should be reasonably fit and able to comfortably walk up hills between 100-250m. Please wear suitable hiking boots, and bring along full waterproofs and plenty of layers. Walkers should bring plenty of food and water.
