The Tolkien Trail

A pleasant mid-week walk taking the paths and tracks associated with JRR Tolkien, following the Rivers Ribble and Hodder and the outskirts of Stoneyhurst School.
The walk starts with a drop down the Ribble and some uneven paths through the wood and just over half way around there is a section where we climb and this involves approx 120 steps. There is a slightly shorter option to avoid the steps.
