Please do not book for this walk. Just turn up on the day.
The centre- piece of this 10 mile moderately paced walk is the little church of Tudeley with its glorious 12 stained-glass windows decorated by Marc Chagall (small entry charge to view**).
The walk takes us on gentle gradients along crop fields, woods, footpaths, estates, and mainly quiet lanes and driveways.

Route: Leaving Tonbridge on a paved footpath alongside the road before entering the grounds of Somerhill Estate, we make our way to Tudeley. After visiting Tudeley Church our route takes us into the woodland skirting Knowles Bank House to exit the Estate by the House driveway. Passing by Pembury Old Church (a possible picnic lunch stop) we continue through Forest Wood to reach Pembury Village for our refreshments stop. From here we join the Tunbridge Wells Circular walk taking us through woods, open fields and a tarmaced lane to finish at Tunbridge Wells station.
Lunch stop: Picnic en route or at Pembury Village with its pubs and village Green. Possible further refreshment opportunities in the Pantiles area of Tunbridge Wells
Meet at Tonbridge Railway Station at 10.16.
Travel: Charing Cross 09.34, Waterloo East 09.37, London Bridge 09.43 - South Eastern train to Ramsgate.
Ticket: Buy an off-Peak Day Return to Tunbridge Wells.
Finish: Tunbridge Wells Railway Station at about 5.00.
