We will join the Union Canal at Bridge 51 and walk on the northern towpath towards Linlithgow. Being a contour canal - with no locks - it allows for flat and easy walking, passing through farmland until reaching a series of jetties with moored narrowboats and visitors’ boats. We make our way into Linlithgow and around the picturesque Loch which has plenty of interest, wildlife and a great view of the palace. We make our way back along the same towpath, enjoying all canal life - birds, kayaks and narrowboats.
