Overview

A lengthy 10 mile but quite easy ramble in the Vale countryside south-west of Evesham with extensive views of Bredon Hill and beyond for much of the way. We will be following the route mapped out in the Vale Circular Walk No 4 (see weblink below). Our route takes out from Evesham via the hamlet of Netherton and on to the very attractive village of Elmley Castle, where we will stop for a break and the opportunity of some liquid refreshment at the Queen Elizabeth. Our return route takes us along part of the ancient Salt Way, then around Hampton and down to follow the river Avon back to our start point.
