Overview

The walk starts in the centre of Church Stretton, and passes by the Rectory Wood pool and folly before ascending to the moorland of the Long Mynd via the Townbrook Valley to Pole Bank. If the weather permits, there will be terrific 360 degree views of the Shropshire and Welsh hills. From here, the route continues along the Port Way, for a short way, before turning toward the shoulder of Round Hill, Barrister's plain and Callow Hill, and the descent back to Church Stretton. Good upland walking with fine views and hopefully not too much mud!  Well-deserved refreshments afterwards in Berry's Tearooms.
