The walk starts at Glyndyfrdwy Station after the short steam train journey from Llangollen Station, boarding at 10.00. Meet at the car park at 09.30 with the Leader, prior to attending the ticket office at the Llangollen Station to obtain a single ticket to Glyndyfrdwy. Ticket prices have not been published yet for 2025 but,as a guide, last year the cost was £8.00.
The walk, after alighting at Glyndyfrdwy Ststion, makes its way up to follow a fast flowing stream through a former mineworking site before emerging into an open landscape. The route continues up to the tree line when Vivod Mountain comes into view. The path becomes the North Berwyn Way which is followed to Vivod summit on clearly defined paths. From here the gentle walk off to Llangollen begins on wide firm paths and eventually a stoney track into the town centre.
