Overview

From Romford station this walk climbs up steadily through four parks before reaching Bedfords Country Park with views of the deer park and the countryside beyond. Next from the pretty village of Havering-Atte-Bower a section of the London Loop passes through high-lying, undulating farmland to reach Noak Hill. This section can be very muddy. There will be a late lunch at a pub but there are very limited facilities for sandwich eaters. After Noak Hill the walk follows a narrow green strip through Harold Hill to end at Harold Wood Station.
