Overview

This scenic 11.5 mile route in south Oxfordshire begins from Warborough, crossing the Thame and passing through Dorchester-on-Thames with its ancient abbey before visiting the confluence of the rivers Thame and Thames. We then cross the Thames and ascend Wittenham Clumps, where we stop for refreshments and enjoy a fine vista of the Oxfordshire plain. We then descend to Brightwell-cum-Sotwell (passing Boris Johnson's manor house) before turning north to rejoin the Thames and cross the river at Shillingford to return to Warborough. Bring refreshments for two stops.
