Overview

This walk takes in part of the  longer Witton Weaver’s Way. It combines ancient and modern history, water and wildlife, to produce a fascinating ramble taking in Turton and Entwistle reservoir, Turton Tower, Jumbles reservoir, Turton Bottoms, Wayoh reservoir and the Strawbury Duck Inn.

The ground underfoot is mainly good tracks, with some short muddier sections (weather dependent). There are a couple of short, stiff climbs and at least one stile…

Trousers are recommended as nettles, brambles and the like are growing vigorously at this time of year.
