We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk starting at open ground car parking 400m from the entrance of Ladyurd Forest. We will follow a forest track up to join the John Buchan Way for a short distance. We will then ascend Broomy Side, Greenlaw Side then up to cairn at Pyked Stane [571m]. There are 360° views on a clear day towards the Uplands, Tinto and Pentlands. We will then return over Wether Law and pick up forest track through Woolshears Wood. This hill is part of broughton heights.
Good paths and tracks. Hills quite steep at times. It's slightly boggy in a few areas. Chance that we won't meet many people on this walk.
Meeting at Livingston North Railway Station, South side for car sharing at 9am
