A lovely walk in beautiful rolling Hampshire countryside - starting from the Silk Mill in Whitchurch we will spend the day dancing along & around the lush river Test & it's fabulous chalk-spring tributaries.
We will pass through the pretty village of Hurstbourne Priors & the beautiful hamlet of Freefolk with it's beautiful 13th century church & the longest residential run of thatch in the country – 18 grade II listed cottages. Oh and we will go past the Bombay Sapphire distillery - though sadly won't have time to sample any gin!
We will take in a number of the Whitchurch mills along the way - this walk has a little bit of something for everyone!
Please arrive in good time for a 10.30 prompt departure. The Silk Mill car park is free of charge and the mill itself opens at 10.30am - the car park may start to fill up as the opening time approaches.
We will have two interim stops (mid-morning & mid afternoon) plus one longer lunch break.
Dogs welcome with well behaved owners.
Optional post-walk refreshments in the White Hart Pub in the centre of Whitchurch - a short walk from the car park.
