A varied walk involving chalk downland, part of a long distance path, water meadows, hill with views (climbed via steps) and an old railway viaduct.

The first part of the walk involves crossing a field with horses, followed by a muddy track. The railway viaduct towards the end should offer an opportunity to clean muddy boots!

Dogs welcome with responsible owners. 

Bring lunch to be eaten on St Catherine's Hill.

Meeting near the central block (toilets available) at Winchester South Park and Ride. Saturday charge £3.00 Easy access from junction 11 of the M3. 

Alternatively, use P&R bus or Bluestar bus 1 from Southampton and Winchester stops nearby.

Optional drink at the Bridge Inn, Shawford, afterwards.
