Overview

A moderately paced, moderately hilly walk with no stiles to climb.

A very picturesque area of the chalky Chilterns with great views in clear weather.

We will enjoy the view from Whiteleaf Cross, then walk through varied woodland, footpaths, bridleways,  nature reserves, a holloway, down steps, golf course and the quiet village of Whiteleaf. We may even catch a glimpse of Chequers from the top of Chequers Knapp Tumulus if the weather is clear.

We plan to stop for a packed lunch a couple of hours into the walk from two view-point benches on the quiet Brush Hill Nature Reserve.

Expecting the weather to be cold so the ground will be firm rather than muddy.

Walking poles recommended.

Well behaved dogs welcome.
