Overview

Thursley Common Boardwalk was voted Britain's Favourite Path by readers of Ramblers' Walk Magazine in 2024.  Come and explore the National Nature Reserve and traverse the boardwalk.

This is a walk of two halves, firstly through woods and lanes along the Greensand Way to Thursley. This section is full of short, steep ascents and descents. After lunch in Thursley Churchyard we enter level heathland and common with extensive views, heather, pine and marsh to Milford Station.

The ground is fairly sandy throughout, but expect some mud.

Lunch:  a fairly early picnic in Thursley Churchyard.

There are no toilets or refreshments on this walk.

Train: 09.45 Waterloo; 09.52 Clapham Junction. Buy a return to Witley. Trains are hourly.
