We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This walk starts in New Alresford, home of the Watercress Line. We will take the Wayfarers Walk out of the town, along the River Arle, then head out to Abbotstone Village before heading up to Abbotstone Downs and the woods. We then leave the Wayfareres Walk and use tracks and paths over farmland to join the Oxdrove / St James Way to Old Alresford and its watercress beds, on the walk back into New Alresford.
There could still be a lot of mud and standing water in places, although most of the walk is on decent paths and tracks. It is still just March, so please dress for the weather on the day.
Please bring food and drink for the day
Numbers are unlimited but please book on line before 6 pm on 12 March.
Please park in Arlebury recreation centre car park on The Avenue. There is a charge is £2 per car for the day. Car share if possible, as the car park is also used by attendees of the recreation centre.
