The original walk has had to be remodelled due to extensive flooding on the Thames at Eysey. We will walk on the road to the Latton Basin from the North Meadow and do a loop around Latton before returning to the Latton Basin and then across the open meadows back to Cricklade. Here there may be a small section that is deep in water (wellie height) and we’ll review this on the day. If necessary, we’ll have to return to the North Meadow by road. Please wear wellies/waterproof trousers with gaiters and bring a walking pole. A spare pair of socks will also be a good idea. Distance will be 5 - 6 miles depending on the actual route we take on the day.
Please look on www.southcotswoldramblers.org.uk before setting out for up to date information. Nearest pub is the Red Lion, a very short walk from the end point. Quality food and pub.
Local walk grade - moderate pace, terrain 0 level.
