We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at the entrance to Church Lane, Wymondham which is diagonally opposite the Berkeley Arms then going anti-clockwise quickly leave tarmac footpath. Care crossing road. Series of fields. Small lane walk (to avoid overgrown and muddy ground) to join footpath leading to Sewstern. Brief tarmac footpath. Across fields to track. Edge of Buckminster. Permissive path across fields. Join footpath back to Wymondham.
Mixture green sward and currently ploughed and tilled fields. Most of the walk is on the very large Tollemarche Estate. Simply one very low stile so ideal for dogs with stamina on leads!
Dogs are accepted on this walk, although they must be on leads at all times.
Refreshments after if wish, at the public house.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
