Join the York Ramblers for a circular walk from Fountains Abbey.
Beginning at the National Trust Visitor Centre, we join the Ripon Rowel Walk and head West towards Sawley, where we will have our morning break. We then continue on to Gowbusk Farm where we leave the Ripon Rowel Walk and turning to the North make our way to High Grantley via Birka Carr and Hungate Farm. After lunch at High Grantley we walk to Low Grantley and Winksley. On leaving the village we turn to the South East through Winksley Plantation passing High Lindrick to enter Studley Park, where we may catch sight of some deer, to re-join the Ripon Rowel Walk which we follow back to the Car Park and Visitor Centre.
