Overview

We start in Hebden parking along main street climbing steadily along Hebden Beck towards the disused mines.

We then head along Duke’s new road climbing beside Coalgrove Beck steadily towards the spoil heaps and disused mining area and chimney at the top of the hill. We follow the track around and down towards the valley bottom before a gentle climb along Old Moor Lane. This track takes us to the steepest point of the walk with great views.

The path now drops down to the ancient field system towards Grassington which we pass through on the way to Linton falls before taking the riverside path back to Hebden.
