Overview

Join the York Ramblers for a short (approx. 4 miles) circular Sunday morning walk from Levisham.

We head west out of Levisham towards Keldgate Slack then turn north to Skelton Tower. Turning south west we then head up on to Levisham Moor to the end of the lane that takes us back to Levisham. The route includes a steep descent and a fairly steep ascent. Other ascents and descents are more gradual.

Registered assistance dogs only (highly likely to be livestock on Levisham Moor).
Parking – considerate on street parking in Levisham.
Starting Point - outsiderate The Horseshoe Inn, Levisham.
Terrain – footpaths, bridleway and short sections on minor roads.
Stiles and gates– a few.
Given the time of year there are some muddy sections in parts of the walk despite the recent dry weather.
