Walking in Tayside and beyond
We are a diverse group of young-hearted walkers (of any age!) who mostly hail from near the River Tay; but this covers a big area! We have walks happening every single weekend, ranging from lower- level Angus or Fife coastal path rambles, to long weekends bagging Munros in the summer.
We walk all the way from Fife to the North West Coast of Scotland. Most walks are 5-10 miles in length, but can be even longer in the summer. Our away weekends (and we have 10 this year!) see us take on the Highlands and Islands, with festive and New Year breaks thrown into the mix.
We often host walks during the week, especially on long summer evenings. We even have some walk leaders who specialise in leading urban walks. When we say we have something for everyone; we really do. In addition, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome to come along.
Please find our upcoming walks programme here.
Our walking community
We are a very busy group, and we are proud of the laughter, welcome and range of walks that we provide for our members. We nearly always end up in a café or pub, and tea and snack breaks are essential! If you're lucky, you'll go on a walk with some home baking appearing from someone's rucksack.
We are fortunate to have 37 walk leaders, who offer a huge range of walks. Some weekends can see a choice between a winter skills session, an exploration of a city, a more strenuous clamber up a Munro or tackling the next section of the Pilgrim's way.
Our social calendar involves pub quizzes, themed walks, festive meals out, New Years' parties and walking holidays. We even have a wild swimming contingent, who came out in force on New Year's Day! And, most importantly, we can genuinely say that we are all friends.
