Overview

Join the walk leaders on this grade 3, Ladies evening walk. Meet at 6.15pm at The Pillar of Salt opposite the Abbeygate, Angel Hill. This is a 2 mile, 60-90 minute walk exploring the lives and achievements of some of Bury's women from the past. Visit locations around the town centre with connections to the stories of our women.

Assistance dogs only on this walk. There are no planned refreshment stops, but you are welcome to stop in one of the pubs or hotels after the walk. There are public toilets in Ram Meadow and Abbeygate Gardens (July and August only). This walk is accessible via public transport, please check local timetables. 

There is free parking after 6pm at Ram Meadow on Cotton Lane or on the Angel Hill Car park. Before 6.00pm, local charges apply.
