Accommodation
Please book accommodation quickly!
Two good options are the Pitlochry Backpackers Hotel (https://pitlochrybackpackershotel.com) and the Pitlochry Youth Hostel (https://www.hostellingscotland.org.uk/hostels/pitlochry). There are a few campsites nearby, although none in Pitlochry itself (https://www.campsites.co.uk/search/campsites-in-scotland/perthshire/pitlochry).
In addition, there are a number of hotels and guest houses to choose from.
Getting there
By car: Pitlochry is roughly 90 minutes from Glasgow by car. Drivers are advised to research parking in Pitlochry before travel as there are parking restrictions in and around Pitlochry (pay & display) and limited spaces at the hostel.
By public transport: There is a direct train from Glasgow Queen Street to Pitlochry. The Megabus M10 and M10A also travel directly to Pitlochry from Buchanan Street bus station.
Walks
There are many walks to choose from - I hope to include Ben Vrackie on one of the days (weather permitting) and will include a low level walk on the other day.
Social
The Enchanted Forest will be on over this weekend. I suggest those interested book for 8pm on Friday, 10 October so all of us can attend together. If you are interested, please purchase your ticket early.
The Banff Film festival will be playing at the Festival Theatre on Saturday, 11 October at 7.30pm. If you are interested, please purchase your ticket early.
Attendees are welcome to attend any or all social events or walks.
