Overview

Join us for fun on the lake at Welton Waters Activity Centre, followed by an optional BYO picnic.

There's a choice of Stand-Up Paddle boarding (£12), Sit-on canoes and even pedelos!  Take a look at their website and book/pay online for SATURDAY 6th JULY 12:30 session (be very careful to select your preferred craft for the right session! SATURDAY 12:30!).

If you are feeling sociable (and trusting of your board-buddy) you could reserve a 2 person or family SUP or canoe (£18 to £28).

The session lasts 1.5 hours and hires include wetsuit/buoyancy aid.i Hire options are likely to get booked up quickly nearer the time - the booking website shows how many craft are available as well as the cost.

You can also book/pay for a self-launch on that day (£10) if you have your own SUP board/Canoe (search by day on the website). M/F changing facilities and showers are available in the clubhouse.

As well as a towel and change of clothes, perhaps also bring some snacks/food/non-alcoholic drinks for a impromptu sharing picnic afterwards. There is NO cafe on site, unfortunately.

See the link in the green box on the website for making bookings.

We recommend you arrive well before 12:00 noon to get parked and changed in time for the session at 12:30.

You can try using the car park compound marked by the pin on the map, it's 2 mins walk from the meeting point at the clubhouse. Or if full, there are a few spaces next to the level crossing or on Common Lane closer to the A63, but this is 10-15 mins walk, so leave plenty of time! Beware that the road south of the level crossing is very pot-holed! There are few parking spaces at the club itself, these are likely to be full at 12:00. Car sharing is highly recommended owing to limited parking spaces.
