The walk starts from Weeton station at 10:30, and heads out through Huby and over to Almscliff Crag, which is a rocky outcrop that provides 360 degree views. From Almscliff Crag we will then walk a linear route back to Hornbeam Park (Harrogate) via North Rigton and Pannal. We will then loop around the edge of Harrogate's Great Yorkshire Showground before completing the walk.
🚂 If you are coming by train, catch the train towards Harrogate from York at 09:42 or from Leeds at 09:59, and get off at Weeton – there are regular trains back to York and Leeds from Hornbeam Park after the walk
🅿️ If you are coming by car, meet at Hornbeam Park station, ready to catch the train at 10:19 to go two stops to Weeton – the station car park is free, but we recommend car-sharing where possible
🐶 The walk is dog friendly, but please only bring your dog if it is used to public transport, as there will be some train travel involved
🥪 Please bring a packed lunch, as there will be a lunch stop
🍺 Roosters Brewery have a tap room in Hornbeam park so we will go there for a drink after the walk
🚻 There are no public toilets on the route so please consider this before and during traveling
