Overview

Travel from Mearns primary school car park to the old farm road along Malletshugh road on to Craigton Road to the loop of Walton Road along Walton Reservoir. Leaving Craigton Road to Springfield Road to the farm road to Snypes Reservoir (weather permitting)and back through Glanderston Wood to Glanderston Reservoir, just below the Craigie. From there travel along Glanderston Road to Fingalton Road. Walk past the old Dye Works up the old farm roads back to Mearns primary school. 
Members must contact the walk leader by Friday at the latest to ensure Ramblers safety guidelines with respect to ratio of walkers to leaders is adhered too.

Gaiters are required as a significant part of the walk is muddy. There are no facilities on this walk as it is a rural area.  The walk although lengthy is flat and easy under foot. 
Note— as this walk is being carried out during winter, the walk will require to be done at a decent pace to ensure we are off the busy country roads before darkness, to ensure safety of all walkers.

Drive up the Ayr Rd to the set of lights before the Malletshugh Restaurant and turn right into Hunter Dr, then again turn first right into Mearns Primary school visitor car park.
