A winter walk through well known parks for those who want a walk the weekend before Christmas. This walk starts at Pollokshields Borough Hall at Maxwell Park, goes round the park then through Pollokshields and Dumbreck to Bellahouston Park. We will pass the House for an Art Lover, climb the hill, go down the steps to reach the sports centre where there are toilets. We will walk along the path beside Mosspark Boulevard and turn right along the main road to enter Pollok Park at Haggs Castle golf course. We take the path uphill to the main path to Pollok House, then along the river and through the woods to the Burrell Collection where we will stop for toilets and coffee. From there it is about a 20 minute walk back to Maxwell Park.
Well made paths and pavements. Could be a bit muddy in places. One hill to climb and a few slopes, one steep set of steps to descend. Parking available in streets next to Maxwell Park. Trains to Maxwell Park Station.
