8 miles Owlesbury

This is a figure of eight walk starting from Owslebury at 10am from the overflow car park at The Ship, where we shall have lunch. There is a picnic area by the church. The post code is SO21 QLT. Google says this is 13 minutes from central Winchester via the Morestead Road.

The morning walk will head south west on Water Lane and onward via Marwell Wildlife Park. We will then head towards Upham before picking up Red Lane and Pilgrims Trail back to the village ( a little over 5 miles). In the afternoon, the walk is along a ridge to Hensting Farm with its fabulous tithe barn and back, mostly on a good track,  to the village (around 3.5 miles).
