A figure of 8 walk from the pretty village of Cheriton. Approximately 9 miles.
We will meet at the recreation ground in Cheriton at 9.45 for a 10.00 start.
We will walk through the Hinton Ampner estate to Kilmeston and Beauworth, then cross the A272 at Holden Farm before returning to Cheriton.
On a recent walk with the Thursday group on a similar route we experienced some mud, and one path was flooded enough to be considered impassable. Fortunately we were spotted by the landowner who invited us to bypass the flood via her property.
This is a picnic walk. Please bring a packed lunch and a mid-morning snack.
Please notify the leader in advance if you will be joining the walk, as we may leave early if everyone is present.
