Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
This walk will pass Alexandra Palace where there is a great view over London. Continuing on to Highgate Wood, Queens Wood, then the Parkland Walk to Finsbury Park where we will stop for lunch. There is a cafe and toilet facilities, but please bring a packed lunch.
We will continue along the New River to Woodberry Wetlands, then Clissold Park and onwards to finish at Angel tube station, Islington.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as the weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.

Travel
Trains from Moorgate, Highbury and Islington or Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace approximately every 15 minutes.
Alternatively tube to Finsbury Park then the W3 bus from outside the station (Wells Terrace) which will take maybe half an hour to reach Alexandra Palace Station. Or tube to Wood Green then walk (though I am uncertain of the route).
Meet outside the ticket barriers at Alexandra Palace Station. No toilets at Alexandra Palace, but we will stop at some a short distance further on.
