We are the Ramblers Northampton. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We shall pass Slapton Church with it's Wall Paintings, Astwell Castle, as well as several intertesting Villages (Crowfield, Syresham and Silverstone)
There might well be some mud in places, so come suitably shod. Hopefully ground conditions will be OK.
There should be good views from the high ground. The route might be varied if weather conditions demand. These ironstone villages of South Northamptonshire are very pretty.
Please get to the start on time, as these short winter daylight hours do not last long.
Meet by the Church on the Village Green in Abthorpe. There is parking near the Green or close by on Brackley Lane.
