Overview

Morrone is a Corbett that sits above Braemar. A stony ascent and steep climb with loose rubble some of the way to the top. Good views on a clear day. Descending path good but stony in places. Path then leads onto a minor quiet road which follows the Clunie Water river back to Braemar.

NOTE:  This walk is arranged in conjunction with the pre-advertised coach trip to Braemar.  Walk will begin shortly after coach arrives in Braemar.  Walking poles vised due to steep ascent on uneven path. Also, windproof jacket for the summit.  Local grade B+.
